See who’s been saying what about BungalowBranch!
COLUMBUS CEO – JUNE
We were asked by Columbus CEO to give perspective to a local business that’s like an “Uber for Babysitters.”
Quote: “As any parent knows, parenting is hard and it demands juggling. As a parent of three, I always need a helping hand, but it’s about more than just help; it’s about quality, safety and assuring help… you’re essentially calling upon a stranger to care for your most precious people, your children.”
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Single mom of three Kelley Lewis saw opportunity when her in-home day care quickly built a waitlist of families seeking what she offered. It prompted her to create BungalowBranch, which she believes is the first and only in-home child-care franchise in the country.
COLUMBUS CEO MAGAZINE – JULY
Bexley mom Kelley Lewis likes to build unique things. When she was 13, she created her first business opportunity playing harp professionally. As a single mom, she built a “tiny house” with her three young children. The result was a 192-square-foot cabin on a lake west of Columbus that serves as a weekend retreat for her family.
Bexley-Based BungalowBranch First to Franchise In-Home Child Care
All new parents face a lot of tough choices. Many new moms are torn between staying at home with their child or heading back to work. Working parents often must make the choice between the largely unregulated world of in-home care or daycare centers.
BungalowBranch offers a solution that addresses both. Kelley Lewis founded and is now franchising the in-home child care concept that gives moms the option of building their own business that handily incorporates caring for their own children, while also providing regulations and quality control to home-based care.
(In-home child care in Ohio is largely unregulated. The only real stipulation is no more than six children under the age of six, of which only three can be under the age of two.)
